Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Lloyd Dino said he is seeking assistance from army units stations in the Central and Western Visayas in order to attain peace and ensure security efforts in the region.
During his recent visit to Philippine Army 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) headquarters at Camp Gen. Macario Peralta, Jr. in Jamindan, Capiz, the presidential official emphasized the significance of implementing Executive Order 70, which focuses on institutionalizing a “whole-of–nation approach” in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace and security, as well as the armed forces’ role in ending insurgency.
The “whole-of–nation approach” intends to address the root causes of armed conflict including insurgencies, internal disturbances, and tensions by prioritizing and integrating the delivery of basic services, facilitating societal inclusivity, and ensuring the participation of all sectors of the community.
In his speech, Dino commended 3ID commander, Major General Dinoh Dolina, for constructing new military barracks in order to accommodate for visitng military families./DGB, WDJ
