A father and son were hospitalized late Tuesday night after they were shot over a land dispute in Sipalay City.
Police identified the victims as 66-year-old Wilfredo Caballero and his son, 29-year-old Donald Caballero, both residents of the city’s Barangay Cabadiangan.
Based on statements by the victims, they were crossing a river to visit their farm when they were attacked by the suspects, identifying them as Boboy Vendersin and Roger Pedrosa, who are also residents of the said barangay.
The elder Caballero suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen; while his son was shot in the armpit, right elbow, upper back, and neck.
Both were rushed to the hospital following the incident.
Police, meanwhile, are now hunting down the suspects, who immediately fled from the crime scene./DGB, WDJ
