Earthquake strikes Basay yesterday afternoon

A 3.0-magnitude was detected south of Basay yesterday afternoon, with the epicenter pinpointed in the waters off the coast of the Negros Oriental town.
According to reports, the tremor struck around 4:41 p.m.
A subsequent Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology bulletin reported no damages nor were there aftershocks expected.
Earthquakes that range between 3.0 and 3.9 in magnitude are considered between a Level II and III, where a few people feel the tremor, particularly those on the upper floors of buildings.
Earlier this month, the town was also struck by a 2.1-magnitude earthquake.
Quakes ranging between 1.0 and 3.0 in magnitude are often classified as a Level 1, where the tremor goes almost undetected./WDJ
