The Iloilo United Royals, a recent addition to the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), boasts the highest number of home grown players in the upcoming MPBL Lakandula Cup.
“We are proud to announce that we will parade 10 homegrown players,” said team owner Julio Jalandoni Javelosa. “That is well above of the league’s requirement of three homegrown players per team.”
The Iloilo natives on the Royals roster include Leo Guion, Jessiery Pedrosa, John Bahari, Jason Li, Aaron Jeruta, Jay Javelosa, Paul Reguera, Rhagnee Sinco, Gerry Antonio Abadiano, and Andre Pantin.
The team, which is coached by Eric Gonzales, will make their debut next week, June 24, when they meet Soccsksargen beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila./WDJ
