The Negros Occidental Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) led a workshop for former New People’s Army (NPA) rebels last week at the Governor’s Office in Bacolod City.
The workshop was attended by six former insurgents, who are required to attend the event in order to become eligible for livelihood assistance from the national government.
Those participating will also be provided with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority trainings, Department of Education and Department of Social Welfare and Development scholarships for their children, and livelihood opportunities from the Department of Labor and Employment./DGB, WDJ
