The Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6) recently called on the public to only work with DOT-accredited entities when it comes to traveling, pointing out, those without accreditation from the DOT are not reliable.
“We encourage the public to transact business only with DOT-accredited service providers for quality assurance,” urged DOT-6 director, Atty. Helen J. Catalbas.
The agency noted, many companies advertising airline tickets, tours, and accommodations on social media are often not accredited.
“DOT-6 continuously conducts accreditation campaigns to raise awareness on the advantage of being a DOT-accredited entity,” she added./WDJ
