The Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6) is currently observing National Flag Days, which began last Tuesday and runs for 15 days.
“We must respect the flag and pay tribute to the heroes who fought for our freedom,” said DOT-6 director, Atty. Helen J. Catalbas. “As government officials, we must value this freedom through providing quality services to the public.”
To mark the event, DOT-6 unveiled a new flag at their office at the Casa Real de Iloilo in Iloilo City.
The flag ceremony was also held to promote the Stop and Salute Campaign, which seeks to inform the public of proper and visible flag management.
