The first Baye-Baye Festival took place last month in Santa Barbara, Iloilo, which promoted the local delicacy made from rice, coconut, and sugar.
According to the Department of Tourism-Region VI, which recently released a press statement indicating their support for the event, the town’s Barangay Cabugao Sur has been the country’s “top Baye-Baye makers for over 50 years.”
The festival went on for two days and featured eat-all-you-can Baye-Baye.
