Cadiz City native Renz Rosia fights for the Philippine Visayas Professional Boxing Association super flyweight belt tonight against Ponciano Remandiman at Parkmall in Mandaue City, Cebu.
The Negrense boxer is hoping to end his three-fight losing streak, which includes a loss to former International Boxing Organization world flyweight champion Moruti Mthalane of South Africa.
In contrast, Remandiman is coming into the bout with momentum as he has knocked down his last two opponents, Filipino boxers Adrian Lerasan and Vicente Casido.
Rosia currently carries a 14-7-1 win-loss draw record, as compared to Remandiman’s 9-4-1 record.
Meanwhile, the main event pits Ilonggo boxer Arnel Baconaje against Tomjune Mangubat in a fight for the World Boxing Council-Asia silver featherweight belt./ASC, WDJ
