Tanjay City player wins qualifying leg

National Master Rolzon Roullo of Tanjay City, Negros Oriental won the National Executive Chess Championships Bacolod City qualifying leg, which took place over the weekend at the Ayala Capitol Central Mall.

The Tanjay City native finished with 5.0 points and took home the top prize of P10,000.

Consolation prizes totaling P17,000 were also awarded.

The event was organized by Negros Island Professionals Chess Association./MB, WDJ
