The Dumaguete City government is seeking an election ban exemption on P216 million worth of infrastructure projects.

Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Remollo said the infrastructure projects must be exempted in order to ensure completion will not be delayed.

At present, there are a total of 600 laborers assigned to completing the projects and, despite the ongoing election period, city administration does not want to slow down implementation.

During campaign periods, the Commission on Elections routinely bans massive expenditure of public funding./DGB, WDJ
