Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor yesterday revealed his town will host a Hugpong ng Pagbabago grand rally later this month, March 25, which will be led by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
The mayor said he has conferred with former Negros Occidental fourth district Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer, who is currently running unopposed for Negros Occidental vice governor, with regards to preparations for the event.
He noted, House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo requested the gathering be held in Isabela as her husband, José Miguel ‘Mike’ Arroyo, is originally from the town.
Incidentally, Marilou Arroyo-Lesaca, the sister of former Negros Occidental fifth district Rep. Ignacio ‘Iggy’ Arroyo, Jr., Mike’s brother, is running to succeed incumbent Negros Occidental fifth district Rep. Alejandro Mirasol, who is currently serving his third and final term.
Malabor estimates between 10,000 to 20,000 will attend the event.
Also expected for the grand rally are PDP-Laban candidates for senate, along with guest candidates./DGB, WDJ
