A 1.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded just south of Caluya yesterday morning, around 8:23 a.m.

According to a subsequent Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology bulletin, no damage was reported in or around the Antique town as a result of the tremor.

There were also no aftershocks expected.

Quakes ranging between 1.0 and 3.0 in magnitude are often classified as a Level 1 on the Mercalli Intensity Scale, where the tremor goes almost undetected./WDJ
