Negrenses take beach volleyball crown

The Negros Occidental Private School Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) recently retained their Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) secondary girls’ beach volleyball title after defeating the Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Association (ILOPRISAA).

“It was a total team effort for us,” said Bea Louise Gapusan. “We are just blessed to be able to survive a huge challenge from ILOPRISAA since they are a formidable team.”

Also making up the team comprised of St. John’s Institute students were Lorien Gamboa and Julianne Javelosa.

Meanwhile, the NOPSSCEA secondary boys’ beach volleyball team of James Luis Japitana, Laurence Javier, and James Smile Dulman lost to ILOPRISAA in the finals./ASC, WDJ
