Peña denies involvement in murders of judge, board member

Moises Padilla Mayor Magdaleno Peña denied accusations claiming he was involved in the murders of Judge Henry Arles and Provincial Board Member Renato Malabor, Sr.

“I had no conflict with [Malabor], he was never a threat to me,” he said.

The mayor also affirmed he had no conflict with Arles and questioned why he was being accused.

Aside from the murders, Peña also answered the allegations of drug involvement, pointing out, since his childhood, his family was recognized as one of the island’s prominent families.

He also affirmed his opposition to illegal drugs, adding, he has spent his family’s money to fund anti-illegal drug busts and surveillance in the province./DGB, WDJ
