Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters remained undefeated in the 2019 Honda PBA Philippine Cup following their 114-95 victory over Blackwater Elite last night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Calvin Abueva led the victory with double-double, serving up 22 points and 14 rebounds; while Matthew Wright and Jason Perkins added 19 and 15, respectively.

The Fuel Masters surged to a 15-3 start on early hits from Wright, Perkins, and JC Intal. The lead swelled to 37-13 late in the opening period with contributions from Abueva, Ron Dennison, and Rafael Joey Jazul.

The Elite clawed to within 15 points midway in the second period but the Fuel Masters quickly responded with Justin Chua and Alex Mallari contributing to its largest lead of 85-48 in the second half on back-to-back treys by Perkins and Jazul.

Blackwater made its last push through the third and fourth quarter and was able to come to as close as 101-87 but baskets from Abueva, Perkins, and Wright increased Ploenix’s lead back to 110-87./ASC, WDJ
