The Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod recently approved lot donations to be used for various city projects. The motion now awaits the signature of Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia.

According to Bacolod City Councilor Caesar Distrito, who is currently serving as acting vice mayor, the donation will be split into two deeds, one intended for a southbound bus terminal and the other for a planned coliseum and museum.

The donation was provided by Vallacar Transit Inc., parent company of the Ceres Bus Liner; the Yanson Realty Development Corporation; and Olivia V. Yanson.

“We are glad that the Yanson Group made this donation and answered the [needs] of the city,” Distrito said. “We cannot afford to refuse the generosity of the Yanson family.”

The terminal is expected to be constructed along the Alijis-Pahanocoy Circumferential Road, with the museum and coliseum to be built adjacent to the transit hub./WDJ
