Globe Telecom, together with Save Philippine Seas, recently conducted a marine biodiversity workshop in Boracay with around 30 local business owners.
“All stakeholders in Boracay have a responsibility to preserve its pristine beauty,” explained Globe Telecom Chief Sustainability Officer Yoly Crisanto. “One truly impactful way of achieving this is by actively participating in its conservation.”
“Our awareness campaign and workshops resonate with our mission to responsibly manage our environmental impact by implementing sustainable practices – with the intention of improving the lives of the local communities,” she added.
Crisanto, who also serves as senior vice president for corporate communications, noted, “We work with the community to promote environmentally-friendly practices so, collectively, we can contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.”
The workshop also highlighted the current environmental situation in the Philippines and how business establishments can integrate sustainable practices into day-to-day operations./WDJ
