Men’s basketball semifinals begin today

The men’s basketball semifinals of the 38th Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) season begin today at the STI-West Negros (STI-WNU) University gym.

STI-WNU will play La Consolacion College-Bacolod (LCC) at 2:30 p.m. The game will be followed by a face-off between defending champions Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias (CSAV) and the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R).

Ahead of today’s game, LCC officials expressed concern over the lack of a “neutral venue” but eventually agreed with the set-up.

The second games will be played tomorrow, with UNO-R meeting CSAV at 2:30 p.m. and STI-WNU meeting LCC at 4:00 p.m./JSG, WDJ
