The 1st Mayor Joselito Malabor Super League Table Tennis Tournament is set to open tomorrow and run throughout the weekend at the town’s Socio-Cultural Center.

Over 300 players from across the country are expected to participate in the event.

Players will be accommodated at local public schools.

The mayor also highlighted the venue, calling it “ideal” as it is not air-conditioned and said it was a factor in organizers selecting Isabela to host the tournament.

He added, the tournament will encourage the youth to participate in sports and not in drugs or spending too much time with gadgets.

In preparation for the event, Malabor earlier met with Huang Wen Wei Table Tennis Club-Isabela President Darwin Uy, who is coordinating with the Philippine Table Tennis Federation./DGB, WDJ
