The Bantug family recently expressed sadness over the loss of their ancestral home in Victorias City, which was gutted by a fire over the weekend.
In a radio interview, Ray Bantug said the house was constructed in 1947 by former Victorias City Mayor Remedios Bantug following World War II.
Bantug said it is unclear if the home will be reconstructed.
The cost of damages has yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fire Protection is still looking into the cause of the blaze./DGB, WDJ
