The city is taking a ‘giant step’ towards becoming animal-friendly –Gamboa
Bacolod Animal Welfare Awareness Week, which began last month and ends tomorrow, October 4, has been conducting events at SM City Bacolod. Bacolod City Councilor Wilson Gamboa, Jr., who penned City Ordinance 825, which created the observance, said the event is allowing the city to take a “giant step” towards becoming animal-friendly.
The city official vowed to do his “utmost best” in implementing the policy, along with any other related ordinances.
Gamboa noted, the efforts of involved organizations, including the Bacolod Community Animal Rescue Efforts Inc., K9 Obedience Club, and Negros and Asong Pinoy trainers, are raising awareness on the importance of animals and promoting their protection from all forms of cruelty./WDJ
