A suspected drug personality was left bloodied late Friday evening after he reportedly fought arresting police officers during a buy-bust operation at Purok Mainuswagon in Barangay 2, Silay City.
Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Paul Dyson Conlu, a resident of Matagoy Exterior in the city’s Barangay Rizal.
Silay City police chief, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, said Conlu has been long identified as drug dealer in the city.
He previously eluded arrest in August during an earlier buy-bust operation.
Police moved in on Conlu after he handed one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop.
However, the suspect allegedly attempted to escape again and a scuffle erupted between him and police, which left him with numerous wounds and bruises.
Police recovered an additional 10 pieces of suspected shabu, valued at P480,000; drug paraphernalia; a weighing scale; and the P10,500 boodle money used by police.
Conlu faces drug-related charges and is detained at the Silay City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
