The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) Blue and Gold Alumni Association will be handing out their Alumni Achievers Awards tomorrow during a ceremony at the SMX Convention Center at SM City Bacolod.
Events begin that morning with a Eucharistic celebration at the university gymnasium, along with San Juan City Mayor Guia Gomez, a graduate of UNO-R (then known as the Occidental Negros Institute), serving as keynote speaker.
The evening’s award recipients include Dr. Dennis Madrigal for education, Dr. Angelita Robles for government service, Hubert Santiago – cooperative service, Alan Navales – sugar industry development, Hannah Mariveles – media education, Atty. Cristine Umahag – law, Mary Ann Almario – social development, Christina Perez – community service, Rebecca Hautea – entrepreneurship, Engr. Ma. Elena Miraflor – sustainable development, and Dr. Hans Francis Ferraris – medicine.
The event will also honor the UNO-R High School Class of 1968.
The ceremony is sponsored by the UNO-R High School Class of 1978./WDJ
