Due to corruption, Congress must be abolished now

“…But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation/ I will sing the LORD’s praise, for he has been good to me…” –Psalm 13:5-6

After Quezon third district Rep. Danilo Suarez, who also serves as minority leader in the House of Representatives, disclosed the diversion of hundreds of millions of pesos from the 2019 national budget by various members of Congress, the House of Representatives and the Senate must be abolished.

Imagine, lawmakers from both chambers of Congress have proven for years their inability to do anything for the greater good, yet they have the nerve to divert massive amounts of money for their own personal benefit?

I pose this challenge to Suarez: Name the congressional official(s) who, he claimed, “parked” some P500 million from the 2019 national budget for other lawmakers’ congressional districts, which would ultimately be for the personal use of unscrupulous legislators.

This is a clear case of corruption and, if Suarez clams up on this for any reason, he is just as guilty as the perpetrators.

In the second joyful mystery of the Roman Catholic rosary, where Mary hurried to visit her cousin Elizabeth after the angel Gabriel earlier appeared to the would-be mother of Jesus, it was clear why Mary was in a hurry to go to where Elizabeth was then residing, to make sure Gabriel’s announcement that Elizabeth, who was already very old and considered barren at that time, was indeed six months pregnant.

Mary, of course, subsequently confirmed that Elizabeth, her cousin, was expecting her own baby (this can be read from Luke 1:39-45). But, be that as it may, this story of Mary’s “visitation” of Elizabeth is quite important because it also confirms that Jesus is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. When taken with the other striking events in the Bible we have already tackled here, the “visitation” represents another “chain” in the many pieces of evidence that Jesus is God the Father.

What was more amazing was that, after Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit upon hearing Mary’s greeting,  the child in Elizabeth’s womb (the child would turn out to be John the Baptist, the one who baptized Jesus in the Jordan River) leaped in her womb. Then, Elizabeth made a rather extra-ordinary recognition of Mary as “the mother of my Lord.” These events are certainly beyond the ordinary. They all happened to prove that the baby that Mary would give birth to is God the Father Himself.

Ian Kervi Balase Legion on Facebook: “Hi Sir. You have been recommended by my friend Shavana Castillo regarding my legal issue…”

Here is the comment from Lawyers in the Light (or Lawyers Instructed on Godliness, Humility, and Truth): “Thank you Ian Kervi Balase Legion (if this really is your name). Anyway, to us, who try to serve others through free legal counseling, it is clear that we respond to all queries or requests for legal opinions that are thrown our way, particularly from our countrymen who, because of extreme poverty, cannot afford to pay at least the consultation fees charged by other private lawyers, or who feel it would take ages for government lawyers to answer their concerns. We do not charge any consultations fees. It is free. Of course, we know this would take out some time from our busy schedules, but it is okay. We consider this as our small way of trying to serve our God and Savior, who is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Right now, we accept all questions, no matter what areas of law might be involved – civil, criminal, administrative, corporate, or any other legal mater. Just send us a text question, or an email, to the numbers and address indicated below. Thank God in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
