A pedicab operator was arrested late Thursday night after yielding suspected shabu and a firearm during a buy-bust operation along New Era Street in Barangay 4, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the suspect as 21-year-old Eduardo Galan, a resident of the city’s Barangay 5 and a known drug personality.
San Carlos City police chief, Police Superintendent D’Artagnan Katalbas, said Galan was arrested after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu worth P500 to an undercover cop.
When searched, Galan further yielded two elongated sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and a .38 caliber revolver with two live bullets in the chamber.
Galan is currently detained at the San Carlos City Police Station and faces illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
