Two men were killed after they were electrocuted while conducting repairs on Monday at Purok Kapayas in Barangay Miranda, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatalities as Jiboy Sordilla and Johnny Gegantoni, both 30 years old and residents of the said town.

Pontevedra municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Ryan Salazar, said the victims were conducting repairs on an internet antenna, when the pole fell down and touched the main electric power line, causing the electrocution.

Sordilla and Gegantoni were rushed to the Valladolid District Hospital, but were declared dead on arrival by hospital staff./DGB, WDJ
