The Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement-Ibaraki (OISCA-Ibaraki) group, in cooperation with the Department of Education (DepEd) Bago City Schools division and the Bago City government, will present a musical production on Friday, August 24, at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center in Bago City, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
1,239 wind instrument players from four district schools will perform as a tribute to the city’s partners from Japan, who have supported the campaign to bring music to local communities. The event, which is on its 20th year, is known for using instruments such as the pianica, recorder, organ, castanets, and flute.
The event is led by Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo; Vice Mayor Ramon Torres; DepEd-Bago City Schools division superintendent, Dr. Neri Anne M. Alibuyog; and Assistant Schools Division superintendent, Dr. Lynee A. Penaflor.
