Negros First Softball Team is ‘ready’

Negros Occidental junior league softball team coach Antonio Oquindo, Jr. said his squad is “ready” as opening day commences for the 2018 Junior League Softball World Series in Kirkland, Washington in the United States.

“Our players have undergone tough qualifying games in the Philippines and Singapore,” he said. “Our players are ready for this challenge.”

Despite being referred to as Bacolod City West Little League on the Little League World Series site, the team plays under the name Negros First Softball Team.

The Negrense team opens their campaign against Keystone/West Tampa/Bayshore Little League of Tampa, Florida and host squad Redmond West/North Little League./JSG, WDJ
