A woman was wounded after she was reportedly assaulted and stabbed by a former lover late Thursday evening at the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.

Police have refused to identify the 24-year-old woman, but confirmed she is a resident of Fortune Town in Barangay Estefania of the said city.

Based on investigations by the Police Station 8 Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD), the woman was reportedly attacked by her ex-boyfriend, whom they also did not identify.

The suspect reportedly pulled out a bladed weapon and stabbed the woman in the leg.

The victim was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment.
