The Community Anti-Drug Coalition of Bacolod (CADCoB) held a walk last week, “Lakad Iwas Droga,” which sought to raise awareness on the harmful effects of drugs, particularly among the youth.
Two separate walks, one originating from the Sacred Heart Shrine and the other from the Capitol Park and Lagoon, converged at the Bacolod Public Plaza for a program by the United States Embassy in Manila, which featured US Embassy International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs director Brandon Hudspeth.
Participants and organizations were also urged to make donations, which will be used to fund skills training for the youth and surrendered drug personalities, along with funding drug abuse awareness advocacies./WDJ
