When road problems arise, the public blames the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
When local residents are victimized by fixers, they blame government offices.
When people are forced to wait in line to apply for driver’s licenses, they blame “inefficiency.”
It is human nature to blame others rather than looking at themselves in the mirror and never blaming their reflection.
Why are there so many ignorant drivers?
Many blame the LTO for the prevalence of unqualified drivers but it those with the licenses who are mostly arrogant and dismissive of traffic laws. They do not respect authority and laugh after be able to get around the law. What kind of attitude it that? It is a character problem.
Also ignorant are slow drivers that occupy the left lane, clearly, unaware the right lane is for their vehicles operating at their speed.
The left lane is for the purpose of overtaking other vehicles, sometimes referred to as the “fast lane.”

The Philippine National Police should be deputizing LTO officials to help man the roads in order to discipline erring motorists.
Currently, LTO lacks the personnel to perform such duties, which is why it is imperative they be deputized.
Local traffic authorities are helpless, either they are not ready to do their job or “other forces” are compelling then no to take their job seriously. Are they there as a show of wasted public money?

Law-abiding drivers should honk their horn scandalously on driver operating in the left lane at the speed of a Santacruzan procession.
In addition, motorcycle and tricycles, no matter how fast they are going, must always stay in the right lane.
