Following the neutralization of drug lord Ramy Poja last month, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region VI (PDEA-6) agents successfully arrested a suspected member of the drug lord’s group last Monday in Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

PDEA agents identified the suspect as Wilmar Deopita, a resident of the said area.

In a statement issued by PDEA-6, Deopita was arrested after handing over one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover agent.

A search of Deopita’s residence further yielded 16 sachets of suspected shabu and a digital weighing scale.

Agents estimated the weight of the seized drugs at seven grams, valued at P46,600.

Deopita is now detained at Police Station 2 and faces illegal drugs charges.

Last month, Poja was killed after Bacolod City Police Office and PDEA operatives stormed his residence at Purok Sibucao in the city’s Barangay Banago.

During the operation, police recovered a total of P810,000 worth of suspected shabu, along with the arrests of Rusty Poja Constantino; Cyril Jarina; and Poja’s reported lover, Claudine Bindol./DGB, WDJ
