A man believed to be a victim of a hit-and-run incident was found dead yesterday morning at Kilometer 49 in Barangay Caduhaan, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Police have yet to identify the man as they did not find any identification on his person.
Traffic investigator, Police Officer 2 (PO2) Glenn Cordero, said they received a call from a concerned citizen saying they found the victim of a vehicular accident in an unlighted area at the center of the road.
Police proceeded to the area and rushed the unidentified man to the city’s emergency clinic, where he was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.
A preliminary autopsy revealed the victim suffered multiple injuries to his body, with evidence showing he was sideswiped by a vehicle.
Interviews with a local tanod reported the victim was last seen in the Caduhaan Public Market around 9:50 p.m.
