A motorcycle driver was killed following a head-on collision with a truck at Sitio Mohon in Barangay 1, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, late Wednesday evening.

Police identified the fatality as 20-year-old Richmond Montalvo, a resident of Barangay Camugao in the said city.

Kabankalan City traffic investigators said Mantalvo was traveling north when he collided with a truck driven by Richard Espirito of Barangay Chambry, Manapla.

Montalvo was rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City, but was declared dead on arrival by medical staff.

Espirito, meanwhile, surrendered to Kabankalan City police following the incident and may face vehicular manslaughter charges./DGB, WDJ
