At least one house is confirmed destroyed after it was gutted in a late Saturday evening blaze at the East Homes 2 Subdivision in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

Authorities identified the owner of the said home as Charise Hillario.

Bacolod City Fire Marshal, Fire Chief Inspector Publio Ploteña, said they received the fire call around 8:43 p.m., prompting the deployment of firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and local volunteer fire brigades.

Ploteña stated the fire quickly spread within the house and completely gutted the interior.

The fire marshal estimated damages at P100,000.

Arson investigators from the BFP are still investigating the incident, although they are presently eyeing an overheated fan as the cause of the blaze.
