Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for the Australian Embassy in the Philippines Second Secretary Ben Esguerra paid a courtesy visit to Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III recently, where the two discussed various aspects of the city, along with the mayor touting the contributions made by the envoy’s country to the city.
He made note of the city’s Apex Nutrition Center, which was constructed by Australians; along with automotive and plumbing centers established at a local school.
“They are also concentrating on education, especially on the exchange of scholars,” the mayor said. “We will look into possibilities of availing the exchange student program of the Australian Embassy.”
