Espinosa highlights partnership between Iloilo City and Australi

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for the Australian Embassy in the Philippines Second Secretary Ben Esguerra paid a courtesy visit to Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III recently, where the two discussed various aspects of the city, along with the mayor touting the contributions made by the envoy’s country to the city.
He made note of the city’s Apex Nutrition Center, which was constructed by Australians; along with automotive and plumbing centers established at a local school.
“They are also concentrating on education, especially on the exchange of scholars,” the mayor said. “We will look into possibilities of availing the exchange student program of the Australian Embassy.”
Esguerra said he is touring Region VI, having earlier paid visits to Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. and Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
He said the region is “very beautiful” and called it “a great place.”/WDJ
