The Negrense musical “Panaad: The Promise Fulfilled,” scheduled to run on April 18 at the SMX Convention Center at SM City Bacolod as part of the annual Panaad sa Negros Festival, tells the story of Negros from the 1970s to the 1990s.

The story focuses on Negros Occidental through the “golden age” of the sugar industry, a period that saw great changes in the local economy and cultural philosophy.

The show will also feature a star-studded cast included Kuh Ledesma, Joel Torre, Ronnie Lazaro, among others.

Proceeds of the event will benefit the Recovered Treasures Children’s Home, a non-profit foundation working with homeless, physically and sexually abused, malnourished, out-of-school, and special children.

Tickets, which range from P250 to P2,000, are available at the Negros Occidental Provincial Planning and Development Office, the Kalipay Negrense Foundation office, the Negros Showroom, ANP Our Food Market, and Bob’s Restaurant (North Drive)./WDJ
