Escalante City resident hacked to death by neighbor

A 35-year-old man was killed after he was allegedly hacked to death Monday morning by a neighbor at Sitio Guiwanon in Barangay Japitan, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatality as “Tata Francisco,” a temporary resident of the said barangay.

Based on records released by Escalante City police, they received a phone call around 8:00 a.m. reporting Francisco was hacked to death by 35-year-old Ramel Conserman with a bolo.

Police proceeded to the area, where they recovered the victim’s remains.

A preliminary autopsy revealed Francisco sustained several hack wounds to his neck, back, and both hands.

Witnesses, meanwhile, stated Conserman fled the area.

Escalante City police are presently conducting a follow-up operation against the suspect./DGB, WDJ
