A native of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental is this year’s top graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).

The cadet was identified as John Vallador, a member of the PNPA 2018 Maragtas Class.

Vallador, a resident of Sitio Buri in the city’s Barangay 4, is set to receive a plaque of merit and the Presidential Kampilan Award from President Rodrigo Duterte during graduation rites on March 21 in Silang, Cavite.

In a press conference yesterday, Vallador vowed to serve the Filipino people, even if it means laying his life on the line of duty.

Prior to enrolling at PNPA, he graduated from Esteban R. Abada Memorial School-West and Fortress College.

Vallador said he was raised by his aunt as his mother left the country to work as a domestic helper in Spain./DGB, WDJ
