A drunk security guard was arrested early yesterday morning by members of Police Station 1 (PS1) after allegedly discharging his firearm in Barangay 13, Bacolod City.

Police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Bienvinido Balais, a resident of Purok Boulevard in the said barangay.

Investigators from PS1 said they arrested the suspect after a concerned citizen reported Balais had allegedly fired his .45 caliber pistol while under the influence of alcohol.

Police recovered one loaded .45 caliber pistol from the security guard.

The suspect is presently detained at PS1 and currently faces firearms-related charges./DGB, WDJ
