The Antique Pasundayag Trade Fair 2018 generated an initial cash sales and booked orders amounting to Php 1,411,012.00 as of February 21, 2018, according to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Antique Provincial Office.
With a theme, “Market Niching through Innovation,” local products of the province of Antique were showcased at the trade fair held at the ground floor of Robinson’s Place in San Jose, Antique from February 16 to 25.
San Jose de Buenavista OIC-Mayor Danilo Nebit welcomed the participants and revelers while Vice Governor Edgar Denosta gave an inspirational message during the launching of the trade fair on February 20.
Also present during the event were the heads of the different government agencies, provincial offices and non-government organizations, together with the 30 exhibitors engaged in handicrafts, food processing, and herbal products, among others.
The trade fair was simultaneously held during the province’s hosting of the State College and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Meet for the delegates to experience the local products of Antique.
Aside from the local sales, a market linkage was also established with a chain of 73 food retail stores in the Visayas./WDJ
