Local MSWDO records six rape, child abuse cases

Moises Padilla Mayor Magdaleno Peña recently led the distribution of over P10 million in cash assistance to around 3,264 local Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries during an event last week.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) also provided food and medical assistance.

Meanwhile, the MSWDO reported six rape and child abuse cases in the municipality last year, which has prompted the mayor to order the local police to conduct strict monitoring of, what he called, “devilry” in the municipality.

In addition, 2,500 female beneficiaries were also provided with free machetes, intended to be used as both a means of self-defense and for farming./DGB, WDJ
