Charter Day celebration underway in Bago City

Bago City opened its weeklong Charter Day celebration yesterday, February 11, with an Alay Lakad event, sponsored by the local Department of Education and Tourism Affairs Office.

Events continue today, February 12, with an 8:00 a.m. thanksgiving mass at the St. John the Baptist Church. Also taking place this morning, the Brookside Garden Academy will be holding their foundation day activities; along with the local Lechon Festival, which is co-sponsored by the City Social Services and Development Office and the Office for Veterinary Services.

In the afternoon, the Agro-Industrial, Cultural, and Educational Fair 2018 opens at 3:00 p.m. at the Bantayan Park; while the “One Barangay, One Product” event also opens at the park.

That evening, Vhong Navarro and Yam Concepcion host opening night festivities, where live bands will also feature.

A grand fireworks display will cap off the first evening of the city’s 52nd charter anniversary celebration./WDJ
