Around P114,500 in cash and gadgets were stolen after robbers broke into a home owned by a widow Thursday morning at the Farmville Subdivision in Barangay Salvacion, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the victim as Ellen Tubongbanua.
Murcia municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Ronald Santillan, said, around 2:00 a.m., three unidentified men climbed the three-story house using a ladder.
Once inside, Tubongbanua was held at gunpoint by one of the suspects, who then forced her to give up her cash amounting to P14,500 and several gadgets worth an estimated P100,000.
Santillan suspects the robbers had knowledge of the home’s layout prior to the incident.
Police are still conducting investigation into the identities of the culprits./JJA, WDJ
