Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) head, Police Superintendent Luisito Acebuche, yesterday confirmed eight of their personnel were suspended due to various misdemeanors committed while on duty.
Acebuche did not name those involved but said five of them are assigned to towing duties, while the remaining three are traffic enforcers.
He said the misdemeanors range from neglecting duties to dishonesty.
The BTAO chief added, the suspended personnel will not receive pay during their suspension.
“The ones involved are becoming habitual offenders, that is why we need to implement the penalties,” he added./DGB, WDJ
