The Land Transportation Office (LTO), in cooperation with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), has recently begun apprehending vehicles considered to be dilapidated that are still in use by local motorists.
They say such vehicles endanger public safety.
According to LTO-Bacolod head Renato Novero, 500 vehicles were apprehended in Bacolod City, Bago City, Talisay City, and Murcia as a result of three separate operations.
He noted, some vehicles were impounded after their operators did not have a license or registration./DGB, WDJ
