The wife of a Special Action Force (SAF) trooper was victimized yesterday by members of the infamous ‘Bukas Kotse’ gang along Hernaez Street in Bacolod City.
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, refused to name the victim due to security concerns, although she confirmed the victim’s husband is a police officer with the rank of police superintendent.
According to the victim, she parked her pickup truck in front of a school and, upon returning a few minutes later, she discovered the right side window had been smashed.
Vargas said the thieves carted away the victim’s bag, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash and valuables.
As of press time Police Station 6 operatives are conducting follow-up operations against the suspects./DGB, WDJ
