Former Negros Occidental Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Director Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag was recently named to lead the Bacolod City office after 15 years with the provincial office.
Madayag swapped positions with former Bacolod City DILG officer-in-charge Carmelo Orbista.
Yesterday, Madayag was formally introduced to barangay captains in the city, noting, “We need [a] good working relationship with the local officials.”
She added, the city DILG will monitor compliance within the barangays, particularly with waste segregation./NC, WDJ
